This seems like a suitable place to say I'll see you later too! ;) Heading off for summer a bit. It's the closing scene.

Seems you rarely take breaks but hope you get some time off too some time; sunshine; all that! Looking forward to catching up with this new music too!

Aha! It's that time of year again :) Have fun CD and hope you have a good 2021 harvest!

Indeed RARELY taking breaks, but I did have a lovely long weekend away visiting family/friends in my home town for the first time in 11 months (due to restrictions). Long overdue and much needed, though not much of a rest as the trip was so busy with various things. I do need a proper work AND social break at some point XD Still working hard on all that new music :)

That it is/was. :) A belated thank you here; you too (with maybe not harvest but at least family and fun)!

Yeaaah I think the social breaks are the breaks we really need the most these days. Even if life's hectic it doesn't feel as much so when it's hectic offline IMO. Just a realer way of living. Less psychologicall stressful. Well maybe there's more to it than that. Anyway good to hear about that one weekend!

Great to hear! I still need to check on the blackberries over here... should hopefully be ripe for picking now?

Just came back from another break seeing family and friends and man oh man was it nice not to open my laptop or spend any extended time browsing the internet! A much missed lifestyle... I think I do much better when I'm offline, away from a screen, though of course it's so essential when trying to keep connected with the peeps you want to (especially these days). A doubleedged sword of sorts :) I need to work on getting that ballance better!

According to local berry season it'd definitely be the right time now. :)

Mmm, it really is freeing. Me too. I feel like it SHOULD be possible to master this kind of lifestyle, and live a wise kind of digital life but hmm... wonder if it is possible. Time away always gets me doubting for a while, but then you fall back into the scheme of this new alternative social after all! It's such an easy and addictive replacement for the real thing... double-edged sword indeed!

Woot woot! I've gotta go search then :D

And various nods. Not sure I can really add much to the sentiment. It really does feel like an "it is what it is" phenomena at the moment. Still, I wonder if things will change anytime soon; revert or evolve further. Who knows! Maybe the "new normal" will be more common VR chatting in the future? We shall see I guess :)

Hope you get some!

Mhm! True that. "It is what it is" feels like the right way to surmise it. Feels like we're really rolling down the wrong way at the moment, faster and faster, but then again there are a lot of digital detox movements and wake-up calls out there if you look so... maybe things can shift pretty quickly. Ah man I don't know if VR chat seems like a good kind of future, but definitely like the kind of technological progress we'd probably be quick to embrace no matter the downside. XD

Been wondering if we'll maybe get an energy crisis that somewhat halts all electronic evolution, but maybe we'll just innovate there too when time comes.

Anyway the future IS bright!!! Just gotta pursue the right light.

Got some blackberries yesterday! A small haul and there's still many more to ripen but it's a start for some tasty dessert stuff in the winter months!

*Various nods* I'd still be interested to try VR (chat) at some point, though I'm not sure what to expect from the experience really XD Similar thoughts with regards energy consumption too. That's definitely something which needs thinking about...

True dat! It is what we make of it (I like to think anyway)!

Whoop! Nice. No nettles in the way this time hopefully? Just a few more days now and I should be back up to get some lingonberries too, the final berry...

I think I might be against the idea mainly because it's possible it'd actually become somewhat a replacement for reality, like cellphones have become to socializing so far. If it's close enough to the real thing, but easier, so chances are thats what people will all start opting for instead. Probably would be fun though. :) Mmm...

That it is! If we think it is it is!

Lots of nettles this year getting in the way of some of it, but enough to find away from the nettles too so it's not too bad :D All the best with the lingonberries!

Ah, that's true... easier substitutes which don't quite provide the same much needed social experiences... I guess as long as it's only occasional recreation it'd work nicely. Good potentially for hanging with people that are more difficult to see in person too. Another double edged sword of sorts

Nice. :) My sister recently informed that nettle stings have certain health benefits too btw, JSYK. :P Good to rheumatism, among other things, supposedly... and thanks!

The easier and more integrated all this tech gets the harder it seems to be to uphold the balance, but fo shizzle, potential benefits with a lot of this too. Maybe we're moving from double-edged swords to double-sided double-edged swords hmm, overtime all handles disappear; it's all just a blade. :P Till there's no way to come to grips with our reality...

Ah! Also good to know (once cooked I suppose XD)

More nods and loving that analogy! Even just a blade is a good tool in the right hands too, just more difficult to handle and requires more control (something that's easy to lack in). Intriguing! Seems like we should work on making more appropriate sheaths along with those blades!

Uncooked actually. XD For external application only then! Probably only recommended as a last resort if all other less painful remedies fail. Not sure if it's an active substance in the plant or if it's more so how the body responds to it... suppose you could compare it a bit to the anthill remedy.

Right right. The more we shift our focus from handles to blades, the better these tools of ours become at cutting, but so much harder to wield at the same time. Easy to harm yourself as you try to master them. Digital detox sheaths hmm!

Oh! That sounds painful! I don't know the "anthill remedy"... I guess if it activates all the histamines that MIGHT be helpful but sounds very uncomfortable DX I don't really know much about how the body works...

And yup indeed on the analogies!

That might be it yeah! :D No pain no gain though right?

Indeed. :)
