September 2025 News Post: Apotheosis OST releases/listening party on Friday, Updated Patreon Reward Archives, BTTB Side Character In My Own Life featured/reviewed in Punktuation Magazine, back to Jabun, goodbye Twitter/x, and more updates!
Hi everyone and hope you're having a great Summer! Busy times over here, though I did managed to get away for a nice break, immediately followed by a week ill in bed (such is the luck)! Lots of updates this month especially with the new Apotheosis OST coming this Friday! Let's get straight to it!
First of all as mentioned above, after 7 years of being stuck in production limbo, the soundtrack I composed as Jabun for the Apotheosis video game is finally getting an official release on Friday! The album will be releasing in the morning followed by a listening party at 8pm in the evening so come join me for some cinematic drum'n'bass, ambient soundscapes, a TONNE of brutal slap bass and more on Friday night! The $10 patrons already have early access to the album too! Read more and tune in below:

Next up on this month's news, after the release of Better Than The Book's Side Character In My Own Life album, I've gone and updated the reward archives on Patreon again for you all! Check out the updated archive below

New additions include the SCIMOL and instrumentals albums + the "Something Riffy" exclusive demo and various WIP BTTB Art packages for $10 Patrons. Enjoy!
And speaking of Better Than The Book's Side Character In My Own Life, Punktuation Web Magazine gave the album an amazing feature and review earlier this month! Thanks so much for all the kind words and sharing the music! Check it out below:
While we're on the topic of the web and internets, after a LONG time waiting to do it (mainly until after the Side Character In My Own Life album release), I've finally decided to quit Twitter/x. I'll be leaving my account active for people to discover (and be redirected) for now, but I'll no longer be posting there or sharing the link around. The best places to find me for the moment are on Patreon, YouTube, Newgrounds, Instagram and Facebook.
Onto creativity! After so many album release cycles (4 in the last 12 months would you believe?!!) it's been nice to get back to some creative studio work again going through and polishing some of my "lost" Jabun ideas mainly from 2019 onwards! 7 mixes have been finished so far with a total of 20-30 I'll be aiming to complete for "this project" before moving onto the next (which'll potentially be some non-BTTB guitar heavy music). It's been nice to relax a little in the studio again and get creative! There's been a few tracks teased before on YouTube, but prepare yourself for some emotional cinematic wanderings, chill jazzy hip hop (à la Daydream) and some more "out there" experiments too! I'm still not sure how exactly I'll be collecting them (and not every track will likely get an official release), but for now it's just about creating, having fun, and sharing the music! On a side note, it's been a fun challenge transferring lot of grooves from the MPC1000 into Ableton for mixing and arranging! I think I'm getting the hang of it!
Meanwhile and lastly, while there are no new videos last month, I have been working on a little geeky side project: making a detailed sound list spreadsheet for my Roland J-6 synthesizer! It's a grand little preset based synthesizer based of the legendary Juno-60 but the manual doesn't come with a detailed sound list or ANY details of what the presets are?! After a TONNE of tweaking and experimenting I've finally finished a spreadsheet containing all details of the approximate settings along with patch descriptions, notes and suggestions! It's stuck in Excel for the moment, but I'll be aiming to transfer it into a more printer friendly format and sharing it with the world soon. I'm sure it's something people will find useful!
That about wraps things up for this time and I'll be back on Friday for the Apotheosis OST album release! Until then I hope you have a great week and as always thanks as always for supporting my music however you can! Take care and see you soon!
