Much has been up recently, so there hasn't been any uploads as of late... I assure you I AM working on stuff, though alot of it is collaborative work so I don't have much control over it's release date... oh well.
In the mean time, I've been doing a fair bit of horror sound design! Here's a little taste from my soundcloud "Don't poop yourself". Ok, so I admit they're not all actually scary sounds, but I'm trying to challenge myself more in the sound design department! If any of you want me to try and make some sounds just leave a comment below and I'll see what I can muster! If you'd like me to help with sound design in a game or animation work, send me a message and I'll do my best to lend a hand :D
Going back to the main topic for last week, there's about a week left of voting in the epiphone guitar competition. You can vote daily, so if you like the design pictured below please head here to cast your votes! Cheers!
Finally, apparently I'm pretty good at preparing fresh pineapple, and some peeps told me I should film it, so by popular local demand, here is an instructional video about how to efficiently prepare a pineapple. Enjoy?
NEways, that's all I have to say this fortnight. There should be more music coming soon (waiting on peeps...) so stay tuned!
Ciao for niao Newgrounds!
Yo Newgrounds peeps,
Uploading's been slow as of recent due to many side projects going on, but rest assured I'm still hard at work on audio for y'all. Been playing a little audio tennis with xIIInon for our latest collaboration, though there's no concrete ETA on that as he's pretty busy (and it's currently his serve). On my end, I've been working on some game music for Skyreef as well as more electronic stuff and a new track with my brother Eamon which is sure to be a blast! Think "Andrew WK" meets "Angels and Airwaves". It's also the 10th aniversary of forming my first band "Crow's Wing" which up until around 2008 released music here on Newgrounds. Although we aren't making music together anymore, we're still great friends and to commemorate the 10th anniversary, I've been working on revamping the old recordings with 5 years worth of music tech experience. 2 down 2.5 to go so far. I expect to be uploading those soon :D
I recently entered a guitar design competition with Epiphone and need to get votes in order to quallify for the next round of judging. My design is pictured below, and if you like it, I'd make my day if you'd take a few seconds to vote for it HERE. My bro also did his own entry so feel free to support him too. There isn't a limit to how many people you can vote for, so go wild if you wish XD. The winners (one from USA, Canada and Europe) will get their guitar designs custom made with their artwork :D. Thanks for taking a look and I hope you like it.
In the mean time, feel free to check out my last upload, a cover version of "Heartbeats" by THE KNIFE. I hope you enjoy it, and expect to be hearing more uploads from me soon :D
Ciao for niao Newgrounds XD
Long time no hear!
I just finished recording a new Better Than The Book cover song "Heartbeats" by The Knife. I'm still trying to sort out the downloading rights to it, but for the moment you can listen to it on YouTube or Soundcloud. Hope you guys enjoy it (and that the downloading thing gets sorted soon). If you like the music, please feel free to check out the One Small Step EP which is available for purchase on Bandcamp.
Free download links have been added on Youtube and Soundcloud. The track is also available here on Newgrounds too :D
Hope you guys like it!
Last week I finished my first animation collab with eKtiNkT. It was great fun to work on (I just did the credits music, but it was still uber fun). You can catch it at it's highest quality on YouTube or check it out here on Newgrounds :D It's called Dinosaur Alphabet and it's pretty self explanitory XD I hope you guys enjoy it.
In other news, I'm going away for a week so I shant be doing much for a bit. This week I was working on a cover song for the Better Than The Book project and it's sounding kickass. It's just in the finalising stage (and I need to draw some artwork for it) but I think you guys are gonna love it.
NEways take care and enjoy some informative music XD
I made an EP :D. It's for my skapunk/poppunk project "Better Than The Book" and is available for streaming in all its gapless glory on Youtube. If you like it, it's available for purchase on Bandcamp where you can pick up the individual tracks too :D There's a demo version of the first 2 tracks merged on newgrounds here too as well as an alternative 8-bit version of leaving home too :D Hope you enjoy it.
01 Intro [Just A Step]
02 Leaving Home [Paper Planes and Bottled Ships]
03 Watching Airships
04 Woof Woof, Nag Nag [Ft. Andy Forman]
05 Backseat Phobia
On another note, I also published a book last year which is where the band name comes from. It can be purchased at Lulu where you can also find a description and preview. Just putting that out there XD
Many side projects and collaborations are going on at the moment, so sorry for the lack of new newgrounds uploads this week, but there shall hopefully be some more audio soon.
I made another soundtracky track "See Ya Later". It's really just a rearrangment of "Closing Scene", but I think this gives it a lovely different feel. When I hear this I imagine being in a wooden floor house, early on a sunny summer sunday, tiptoeing tired around the house before making my way outside for a day of adventure. Think something in a Hayao Miyazaki film :D
I've also made a ReverbNation profile if you want to check it out. It links alot of me audio and video stuff which is pretty useful :D
Future? I've kinda messed up my right index finger so stuff's been a little slow this week, but I'm currently working on a new track with xIIInon which should be out soonish. I'm still planning to do yet another arrangement around the Closing Scene / See Ya Later Theme, but we'll see when I get around to working on it :D
Anyways, enjoy the tracks and more news next week :D
Yo Peeps :D
I went for something a little different this time, still soundtracky, but in a different way. Anyways here it is :D "Closing Scene". Imagine this in the final scene from an episode of some animation, right before the credits. I might have to develop this theme as I'm liking it very much. Anyway hope you guys enjoy it :D
On another note, anybody want any 8-bit remixes done (or have any requests)? I'm been doing a fair few recently and wondered whether anyone'd on newgrounds wants anything done. Ideally I'd like to make a bit of cash by doing it, but my services are here if anyone needs them. Alternatively, if peeps want a musical box version of something I can try that too. Anyway PM me if you're interested and I'll get back to you asap. As a taster, here's a little example of my work
Neways, take care peeps, and I hope to be uploading some more stuff soon :D
Meanwhile, I've been a little ill as of late and my left ear is kinda blocked which has made production last week next to impossible DX (But it's getting better). Nevertheless I really wanted to do something and 8-bit music is a good way to go when your ears ain't so great.
Meanwhile on the collab front, it looks like some of my music with xIIInon is gonna be animated :D. On top of that, some of my own music has been picked up on by dieseling, a very talented animator, and after a grand skype chat it looks like there'll be a collab to come soon. It's sounding swick!
NEways, take care peeps, and hopefully once my ears have got better, I'll be sending some more hi-fi music your way.
Another collab with XIIINON, "Combat", Cinematic Awesomeness and Heavy guitars! Also sampling FIRE and I'm 23 now : |

Another cinematic collab with the great xIIInon. This latest track "Combat" was an awesome project to record for, this time busting heavy electric guitar riffs within an orchestral setting. It was great to work with xIIInon again, and it certainly won't be the last of our team efforts! The project gave me some nice practice experimenting with recording methods for heavy guitars and I'll be using similar techniques in the future to rip heavy licks in my other musical endeavours!
Meanwhile, it seems that I turned 23 last week... kinda scary, but I guess it was bound to happen at some point XD. What's set for the future? Well, I've been getting back on the electronic front and spent a good afternoon sampling the sounds of fire last week! A tune has started to weave its way into existence by the name of "Arsonist" so prepare for some (hopefully soon) Nu-metal Orchestral Drumstep (you'll see what I mean XD). SOON!
Anyways take care peeps! I've been tweeting alot recently as well, so If you want the latest updates, that's the best place to find me.
Until next time!

Yo, peeps! It's been a while.
So recently I've been doing lots of collab stuff, and here comes the next piece of fruit of my labour: "Happy Uncertainty", an Electro House track composed by Mattuiop with me on vocals (I also wrote the lyrics). Matt's been a great guy to work with and we hope to be collaborating again in the future. Please check out his other tracks :D
Some more stuff in the pipeline is another orchestral adventure with xIIInon and I've finally got round to working on my own stuff again too (Horray!). More tracks to come soon. In the mean time, check out the loops and stuff on my soundcloud for a taster of what I've been up to and what's to come XD.
Also, my band Lights, Camera, Attraction! should be hitting the studio at the end of the month which I'm turbo excited for. It's been too long since I produced a full band! We've also picked up the pace with regards gigging which is also fun. Not long now until the record deal (Finger's crossed XD)
Finally I'd like to say a big thanks to all the peeps who've been listening to my various projects. Each positive comment really brings a smile to my face and make the next project all the more exciting. You guys make all the effort and stress worth it :D
Catch you on the flip side and keep an ear out for the next release.
Ciao for niao
