Really liked this one. Although it's nice to have some beats in there, sometimes it's just nice to isolate the flows and focus on the rhymes :) Nice little breath riser coming in there too! Great stuff!

Thank ya Nick. :) It's nice to record like this once in a while too, no need to adlib or layer or match the tempo of an instrumental... maybe makes for a different state of mind and style of writing too.
Aaand an audible initial breath is called a breath riser in studio lingo huh, good to know! XD
Cheers man; glad you liked this, despite the vices!
Hehe, does seem to be consistent trip every year doesn't it! Definitely giving me vibes from older years. And congrats on the new car! Enjoy (both trip and car)!
Yupp. :) Well thank you, though just a rental! I don't actually own this Brand New Volvo V90 Cross Country AWD Automatic!
Fast flows on this one CD! Great use of the adlibs and backing too! Eminem vibes this time :) The unexpected acapella 2nd half really stuck out with this one. Some great lyrical lines in there too! Great stuff! Was this a first time collab?
I guess... ^^' (not sure of what first time means here)
Anyway thanks for the review, hope Cyberdevil's gonna see it :D
Thanks again! Yeaah the switch up does sound pretty remniscient to his Godzilla style flow doesn't it, I didn't notice! XD
First time yes (first collaboration between two users @FantasistEldrun ;) - hopefully more to follow in the future!
Cheers!
2 days in a row with FoD! More Gorillazy vibes too. Loved that Amen Break fill btw XD Nicely done all around!
Amen Break huh... the most sampled drum beat in history (according to Google)! :O Still picking up new gems in the realm of audio lore in your reviews here, good to know about!
And thank you. Read that as Godzilla at first, thought I must be subconsciously doing the same rhyme schemes every day lately. XD Gorillaz hmm... I guess it does have a similar kind of vibe too! Creatively groovy, with more than just the groove to it. TY TY again!
Hehe, FoD and CD is always great combo! Nice loose drunk swinging with this one, and the vibe reminds me of something from Gorillaz (Plastic Beach era :D). Nice to hear some 3/4 time rap vibes too. Not a common occurance :) Great stuff peeps!
Must've gotten a pretty good vibe going on after all if it reminds of Gorillaz. :D They did have some of this slower flow fo sure, didn't realize I was doing 3/4 time here either... thank you thank you!
Ah dang! Really loving the sound design as usual Larry, and CD you did a great job the lyrics and vocal delivery here! I shouldn't be surprised, but it was an unexpected but amazing combination having rap vocals on this track. Very different (especially to the general hiphop scene's sound). Really great stuff! Hope to hear even more collabs between the two of you this month. Front Paged too! Well done peeps!
Thank you thank you! Proud of this one too. Sometimes it just turns out so right, adlibs and everything, just need to keep improving annucniation... hope for more too for sure! Much obliged; thanks for all the reviews!
Great message, fast and tight flows, really impressive CD! First acapella of the month is setting that bar high! Nicely done :D
Thank you thank you, hope the rest of 'em don't disappoint either! Cheers JB!
Daaaaymn! Hardhitting and lovely sound design / choice of sounds! And you only spent 2.5 hours on this?! Super impressed Larry! Keep up the great work! I gotta up my electronic music game (and speed)! Inspiring :)
Really great stuff peeps! Always a great pair up you two on a track! Loving those formanty filter sweeps Larry and tight and hard hitting rhymes Cyber! That glitchy breakdown was an unexpected but fantastic turn too. I need to see that movie again. I saw it once back in my teen years. Very trippy if I remember. Very distinct art style too!
Woot woot! :) Formanty huh, still picking up on new audial terminology with your reviews too! Glad you liked this man, and same! Remember watching A Scanner Darkly while I was still in school, and haven't seen it since... remember visuals more so than plot, but very trippy indeed.
I remember it more so for how it was made though really, the rotoscoping, frame by frame animation over actual footage. Visually I don't think I was a fan, and yet I don't really remember any other movies from that time as vividly that I can think of now... they really managed to make a lasting impression after all! Wonder if I'd appreciate the premise more now than I did then...
Horray you're back to it! Looking forward to another jam packed month of rhymes and hoping to throw a beat your way again this year too. It's a great opener!
Hey hey, and you're turning in this year too! :) Appreciate it! My vocals are never as warmed up as I wish they were when these kick off, but better and better hopefully ...
Definitely hope we get something going this year too, hmu whenever. :)
